Track Name: Flowers in the Darkening Gloom
Chorus
In that house of cards where we lived
Those hammers that battered our door
For each other we always were bleeding
I remember the stains on the floor
In that...
Those hammers...
For each other...
We never did ask for much more

Verse 1
Like paper left out in the rain
My throats is torn by your name
Two flowers in the darkening gloom
We wilt before we can bloom

And I awaken each time before I kiss you in my dreams
I awaken each time before you let your form be seen

Verse 2
I can feel you crawling over my skin
I can't wait for your fangs to sink in
Two flowers in the darkening gloom
We never see light of the moon

And I awaken each time before I kiss you in my dreams
I awaken each time before you give your hand to me

Last Chorus
In that house...
Those hammers..
For each other...
I remember...
In that house...
Those hammers...
For each other...
We never did...
I never did ask for much more
Track Name: Moon Song
Oh where has the moon gone
Could you please show your face
Without you is the night so long
So alone in this place

Oh how are the stars forlorn
Forgotten out in space
Like children into a basket born
Into the sea beneath the waves

The people from your breast have been torn
They are weened as you wane
My people by your love have sworn
But you left them without a stain

Oh where has my love gone
Could you please show your face
Without you is the night so long
So alone in this place
Track Name: The Soul to My Skeptic
Empty hand open
Rheumatically sealed
Your love was a harsh diuretic
In my mouth a token
My fruit is repealed
My innards exposed to the medic
Now where is the soul to my skeptic?

She doesn't really love you
But you still play her game
Her festivals are nothing
But a tumor in your brain
She doesn't really love you
But you still play her game
She kills you with caresses
Her existence is your bane

I'm dead in the open
My mouth been sealed
Your fruit a disguised diuretic
Rheumatically bloated
My innards you feel
Your love was more harsh than expected
You have my token
Exposed and repealed
Empty hand held to the medic
Now where is the soul to my skeptic?

He doesn't really love you
Love's nothing but a war
But you'd keep right on fighting
Just as long as you could score
He doesn't really love you
You'd tremble on all fours
He'd turn your body inside out
Bathe lavish in your gore

I, a mouth open
My fruit has been sealed
Empty hand dead diuretic
My innards bloated
Your love I did feel
More harshly than what was expected
Exposed is the token
What we held, repealed
Disguise of a rheumatic medic
Now where is the soul to my skeptic?

Doo doo doo doo doo...
Track Name: Boat
Boat on the water
no sail and no oar
no wave and no moon
open or shut door
unmoving unanchored
unstable unsure
no fishing pole
so no bite at the lure
boat on the water
the fish swirl below
the stars above twinkle
which way will it go?
at the lake's center
stuck in a black hole
how did it get there
and what is its goal?

Boat on the water
what is its game
has it known pleasure
and mated with pain?
does it know fatus
and will 'o the wisp?
has it lighted the lantern
that floats on the mist?
does it know heat
and can it perspire?
has it walled itself in
with the bricks of hell's fire?

Boat on the water
what does it want?
it wants more than anything
to be what you won't
but how will it be?
and how will it know?
how will it cast current
and ride out the flow?
look at the algae
at bow and at stern
how long it has waited
how little it's learned!

Boat on the water
no sail and no oar
no wave and no moon
open or shut door
at the lake's center
stuck in a black hole
how did it get there
and what is its goal?
Track Name: A Song to the Earth
If a flower were a fire
then the forests are in flames
I loved you like an artefact
I lost you like a train
If a heart were a hand, my dear
then Hammurabi's cut out mine
I filled you up like a diaper
I hollowed you out like a mine

Chorus
The machine was in the thickets
and it lured you toward its lair
I saw it slow devour you
somehow I did not care
The machine was in the thickets
and it lured you toward its lair
I could hear you cold bones snap in two
and I thrived on you despair
and somehow I did not care

If a steel nail were my birthstone
I've long since been hammered down
you were my one hot air balloon
but I brought you to the ground
If vocal chords were fiddle strings
you're the rosin on my throat
you're the surface of a water
where tambourines do float

Chorus
Track Name: Earth Lamentations
By flame I am the monster
that you now have come to know
and by flame of burning coal
did move that train
and in my very bowels
does your Hammurabi lie
he is the stone and jewel
that makes my fame

Chorus
And everyday I'm born again
by many different names
by many shaking hands trapped in a rut
And everyday I'm born again
a thousand different games
as each new door is open it is shut

I was the one hot air balloon
that brought you to the ground
but you grew wings and tamed the bucking sun
each surface of my water
where ghost tambourines resound
I heard you sing I am the only one

Chorus

I'm nothing but an artefact
a trinket on your shelf
I'm nothing but a diaper in the dump
and for each nail that's hammered down
I holler out your name
oh, dear Machine I am your only slut

And every day I'm born again
Ooo...
Track Name: The Shore of Your Heart
The guards in the tower
were all fast asleep
so I took to the road in the rain
I've been out here on my own
for two or three weeks
look back, no I never would deign
I don't know where I'm headed
a vagabond sheep
that watches wanting through your window pane
out here in the mire
of the road do I seep
I whistle nothing but the tune of disembarking trains

Chorus
and I woke
to the sound of your thunder
and I walked
with one leg a bit lame
when I woke
tore my t-shirt asunder
then I walked
born anew with love as my aim

In my wake there are no ripples
it's as smooth as sunrise
and my colours count out to infinity
the eye on the horizon
is the first thing I glimpse
but hardly the last thing I see
I've wiggled with the maggots
and feasted with the flies
I know this world from A right down to Z
I've burrowed in every tunnel
and hurdled every fence
to close the gap that comes between every last you and me

Chorus

The mountain is a valley
and the castle's a shanty that sinks in the sea
I swam for my life and I made it
to the shore of your heart
where with bliss do I weep
